About The Granger Plastics Company
Granger Plastics, originally founded in 1994 by John Grimes, a 40 year pioneer, integral thru the history of Rotational Molding. His father, John Grimes Sr., was one of the "founding fathers" of the Rotational Molding Industry in the United States. After starting the company with other partners, John quickly out grew the company’s original Sharonville, location in it’s first 2 years. In 1996, needing to move for required growth; John and his business partner chose another Cincinnati-Dayton area suburb of Middletown, OH. It was at this time, John started branching Granger Plastics into new opportunities that developed into integral, long term relationships for Granger Plastics.
By the fall of 1998, Granger Plastics has already out grown its original foot print, inside its relativly new address. Needing to add to its capacity and size capabilities Granger Plastics made large capital additions in equipment and machinery. It was at that time, John and his associates would require an additional principal of expertise for the new found opportunities, so they brought in another partner. The partner was a highly pursued, associate of Mr. Grimes' past in Rotational Molding. The partner, Jim Cravens, would be brought in at a critical point in Granger Plastics' short lived history already. It was a momentous period of change at Granger Plastics, as opportunities came from new directions; Granger continued its growth with the usual growing pains.

Well before 2000, Granger Plastics had become a multi-million dollar, international company, helping innovate a multitude of various industries, with new technology and fresh innovations. It began a process of developing new parts, new conversions and new thought processes. Granger Plastics shipped parts, all over the world, and developed plastic innovations. Granger again, with the aide of its partners, grew throughout the next year and some change, even expanding on to its relatively newly acquired address.
In 2002, John Grimes decided to retire, after nearly 50 years of dedication to the Rotational Molding Industry. Granger Plastics’ would now be out of the hands of its original founder, and under the guidance and direction of Jim Cravens.
